God's Back Turned

Tears welled from her eyes, she sobbed and cried Begging for him to turn around Her knees were sore and bruised, blood streaked the floor under her - broken skin "Turn around it's not too late." Her voice shrieked an octave higher. She cursed his name. Life wasn't on her timetable anymore; or rather she realized it never really was Her knees went weak, the puffy red face slamming into the dirt ground Now eye level with his feet I kissed them softly, "please, please take me." Last words weren't Enough The ground opened up, the dark hole swallowed her whole. Free falling into the darkness, her back finally hit A sizzling noise, she looked around the heat making her eyes squint In an amazing feat she rose to her feet. Rip The skin of her back was left sticking to the ground she fell on Veins still pulsing as she turned to examine the white fat and muscle tissue no longer attached to her back.
